Odisha Approves 9 Industrial Projects Worth ₹873.57 Crore, Creating Over 2,500 Jobs

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), led by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, greenlit nine new industrial projects during its 121st meeting. These projects, with a combined investment of Rs 873.57 crore, are anticipated to generate employment for around 2,516 individuals.

One of the approved projects is Petronet LNG Limited’s compressed biogas and organic manure plant, boasting an annual capacity of 33,065 MT. This initiative, situated in Deogarh, promises both chemical production and renewable energy benefits.

Pearl Precision Products Pvt Ltd secured approval for a cutting-edge plastic faucet, water tank, pipes, and fittings manufacturing unit. With an annual capacity exceeding 30 million pieces, the project will be established at Paradeep Plastic Park in Jagatsinghpur.

In the plastic sector, Indopet Polyplast Pvt. Ltd. received the nod to establish a high-capacity manufacturing unit for food-grade PET bottles, jars, and pre-forms. Located in Khurda, this project is poised to bolster employment opportunities and plastic manufacturing in the region.

The steel industry’s ancillary sector is set to gain momentum through TRL Krosaki Refractories Ltd’s comprehensive project. This setup in the Jharsuguda district will include various raw material grinding units, enhancing the steel manufacturing process.

Another approved project in this sector is Chosun Sarvesh Refractories Private Limited’s Tap Hole Clay unit, designed with a capacity of 14,400 MT. This South Korean company’s unit will be located in Sundargarh’s Kuanramunda.

Saizar Enterprise Private Limited aims to enrich the steel downstream domain by establishing a steel processing unit for HR and CR coil. This project is slated for Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur.

Vikram Private Limited’s expansion project for a 0.12 MTPA SMS and 0.1 MTPA TMT plant adds to Odisha’s steel manufacturing capabilities. Located in Lahunipada, Sundargarh, this initiative reinforces the state’s robust steel sector.

The Agro and Food Processing sector receives a boost through Coastal Biotech Private Limited’s corn processing and corn starch manufacturing unit. This venture in Nabarangpur district leverages the region’s maize production capacity.

Odisha’s tourism landscape flourishes with SNM Hotel And Resorts Private Limited’s ambitious project. The hotel and resort facility, set to rise in Chikiti, Ganjam, aligns with the state’s drive for diversified industrial growth.
