Bhubaneswar: Kiwi batter Mark Chapman and Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmed achieved career-high rankings in the ICC Men’s T20I player rankings. The only other Indian in the top 10 is Suryakumar Yadav, who continues to hold on to the apex spot in the rankings.
Chapman has jumped 48 spots to position 35 in the rankings after smashing unbeaten scores of 71 off 42 deliveries and 104 off 57 in those two games to finish with a series-topping aggregate of 290 runs.
Iftikhar, who scored 36 in the final game, has moved up six spots to joint-38th place.
After Mohammad Rizwan (up from 798 rating points to 811 after scoring 98 not out in the final match) and Babar Azam, who are placed second and third in the list headed by Suryakumar, he is the highest-ranked Pakistani batter.
Similarly, Imad has moved up 15 spots to 127th among batsmen after scoring 31 in the last T20I, and his three-for-19 and two-for-21 performances have moved him up 120 spots to 93rd among bowlers. Among all-rounders, he has moved up 44 spots to 24th.
