12-Hr Bandh in Kuchinda Demanding District Status

Kuchinda: A dawn to dusk bandh was observed in Kuchinda of Sambalpur district to press upon the demand for district status. Kuchinda is a sub-division in Sambalpur district.

The Zilla Kriyanusthan Committee of Kuchinda has given this bandh call. Some social organizations and political activists in the Kuchinda area extended support to the bandh call.

Shops, business establishments, educational institutions, banks and private offices remained closed in Kuchinda because of this bandh.

Vehicular traffic was affected as demonstrators blocked roads at several places in Kuchinda. But emergency services were excluded from the ambit of the bandh.
