3 Brothers Make Separate Suicide Attempts in 24-Hrs Over Argument with Father in UP Village

Lucknow: Three brothers of the Aurangabad village under the Dhanari police station area allegedly attempted suicide separately on Thursday by hanging. Two of them died, while the third is fighting for his life in a hospital.

Pan Singh (19) of the Aurangabad village committed suicide by hanging from a tree following a heated argument with his father.

After coming to know about it, his elder brother Brajesh (21), tried to end his life by hanging himself in a room. But he could be rescued in time by the family members and other villagers. He is undergoing treatment in a hospital.

The eldest brother Munish (25), who was employed in Chandigarh, rushed back home after hearing about suicide attempts by his brothers.

After returning, Munish also committed suicide by hanging from a tree near the village on Friday morning.

Though no formal police complaint was lodged regarding the incident, local police have submitted a report to the SDM regarding the matter.

According to the family members of the deceased, the brothers were very close to each other. The youngest brother had some argument with their father, after which he took the drastic step to end life.
