Acid Attack on 3 College Girls in Karnataka, Victims Suffer Third-Degree Burns

Bengaluru: Three girl students were seriously injured when a masked youth threw acid on their faces at a government pre-university college in Kadaba town in Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka on Monday.

According to police sources, the victims were preparing for the Pre-University Course (PUC) exams sitting in the corridors of the college, when the accused made the acid attack on them. The injured girls were admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

The acid thrower wore a mask to hide his identity. He has been identified as one Abin from the neighbouring Kasaragod district in Kerala.

The locals chased and nabbed him and handed him over to the police.
