Assailants Kill Tea Shop Owner, Critically Injure His Wife in Cuttack

Cuttack: Unidentified assailants attacked the owner of a tea and snacks shop owner Harekrishna and his wife Annapurna in Nischintakoili block of Odisha’s Cuttack district. They were attacked while they were sleeping inside their shop at Kulia Bazar under Salepur police station limits on Wednesday night.

Critically injured Annapurna was shifted to Cuttack for treatment.

Locals came to know about this incident when they came to the shop to drink tea in the morning. They informed police and relatives of the victims regarding the lethal attack on the couple.

The reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. Salepur police have initiated an investigation to identify the culprits.
