BSF Kills Pakistani Intruder Smuggling Drugs into Kashmir

Jammu: The Border Security Force (BSF) thwarted a major narcotic smuggling attempt at the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, and shot dead a Pakistani intruder.

Four kilograms of narcotics was recovered from the possession of the killed intruder.

“In the intervening night of July 24 and 25, the vigilant BSF troops neutralised a Pakistani smuggler who was trying to smuggle narcotics through the Ramgarh border area,” the BSF spokesperson said in Jammu.

The seized narcotics found near the slain intruder were packed in four packets, each weighing one kg. , were found near the body of the deceased.

Alert BSF jawans identified some suspicious movement near the S M Pura post in the Ramgarh sector late Monday night. When the intruder did not heed to the warnings of security personnel, he was fired at. Identity of the deceased has not been ascertained.
