CRPF Jawan Ends Life in Kandhamal Dist

Phulbani: A jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was found to have committed suicide in Baliguda of Kandhamal district on Saturday.

The deceased jawan, Ramesh C.L, was from Kattakada in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. He was posted in Baliguda along with the 127 Battalion of the CRPF for anti-naxal operations.

On Saturday morning, his colleagues found him hanging in the bathroom of the battalion. He was immediately rushed to the Baliguda Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The reason behind his suicide has not been ascertained.  His body will be sent to Kerala after an autopsy.

A case has been registered at the Baliguda police station and the police have started an investigation into the incident.
