Donation Box of Gupteswar Cave Shrine Looted in Koraput Dist

Koraput: Cash and valuables in a donation box kept at the Gupteswar cave shrine in Koraput district of Odisha were looted by unidentified miscreants.

According to police sources, the thieves targeted the donation box near the main gate of the cave shrine on Thursday night. They broke its lock to take away the cash and valuables in it. The theft came to the fore on Friday morning. Receiving information about it from temple priests, a police team reached the spot to initiate an investigation.

Recently Odisha government has allotted Rs 20 crore for the development of this famous cave shrine in Boipariguda block of Koraput district.
