Female LLB Student Faces Ragging by Seniors In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A female LLB student alleged physical assault and ragging by senior students at a private law university in Bhubaneswar. This first-year law student from Jharkhand made a police complaint against three senior students.

The complainant accused the seniors of physically assaulting her within the hostel premises which led to injuries to her hand, chin, and teeth.

The complainant had complained about this ragging incident to the institution’s disciplinary committee on February 20. But the accused seniors didn’t attend the hearing. So, the victim and her family members registered a complaint against the three senior students at the Bharatpur Police Station.

As per the complaint, the victim was abused and tortured between February 14 and 16, by the seniors who falsely alleged her to be practising witchcraft.

A police investigation is continuing into the matter.
