Female Maoist Carrying Rs 1 lakh Award Surrenders Before Malkangiri SP

Malkangiri: Ungi Madvi alias Rosni, an active cadre of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) organization surrendered before the Malkangiri SP on Wednesday. She carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh on her head.

Rosni joined the Maoist organization in 2016 and at present was a member of the Darbha division of DKSZC. She was active in Mahupadar of Kanger Ghati area.

During the past eight years, she was involved in several violent acts of Maoists including including IED blast in Odisha. Apart from Odisha, she was also active in neighbouring states.

Rosni was involved in at least 48 cases in Odisha including IED blast and ambush on security forces, said Malkangiri SP, Nitesh Wadhwani.

She will be rehabilitated as per the rehabilitation policy of the Odisha government for surrendering Naxalites.
