Police Havildar Among 6 Arrested in Ganja Smuggling Case In Balangir

Balangir: A havildar of Odisha police is among the six persons arrested in connection with ganja smuggling in Odisha’s Balangir district.

On Friday, Balangir police arrested five persons involved in illegal ganja transportation. They were smuggling the contraband from in a train from Balangir to Rayagada. During interrogation, the arrested persons revealed that a police havildar named Bijay Sahu posted at Tarabha police station was the mastermind of the ganja smuggling racket and they were transporting ganja to different parts of the state regularly.

Following this revelation, police arrested Bijay Sahu.

Further investigation is continuing to track down others involved in the racket.
