SIT to Probe “Push” Theory Behind Mamata Banerjee’s Fall & Injury

Kolkata: A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Kolkata Police will investigate the “push” theory behind the forehead injury suffered by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as she fell down at her residence.

The Director of S.S.K.M. Medical College and Hospital, Manimoy Bandopadhyay on Thursday night said that the Bengal CM might have been “pushed” from behind at her residence.

Speaking to the media, the S.S.K.M. director said that the injury might have been caused “within the vicinity of her home due to some push from behind”.

According to Kolkata police sources, police officers from different departments will be part of the SIT formed to investigate the suspicion.

The SIT will examine the CCTV footage from inside and outside of the official residence of the CM at Kalighat in South Kolkata. The SIT members will also interrogate the security personnel posted at the residence of the CM.

On Thursday night, Mamata Banerjee received a forehead injury after she tripped while walking within her residence premises.
