Son Thrashes Aged Father to Death in Sambalpur Dist

Sambalpur:  In a shocking incident, an aged man was reportedly beaten to death by his son in Ghenupali village under the Sadar police station area of Odisha’s Sambalpur on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Lingaraj Kumura, who was thrashed to death by his accused his son Amulya Kumura. The reason behind this murder is yet to be established.

As per locals, the son killed the father following a heated argument between the duo, on Monday night.

Losing his temper, Amulya beat up his father ruthlessly. When the aged man became unconscious, Amulya fled from the scene.

Hearing screams of Lingaraj, neighbours reached the spot and rushed Lingaraj to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Receiving information, a police team reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway. The search is on to nab the son.
