Two Arrested for Attacking House Surgeon at Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir

Balangir: Two persons were arrested for allegedly attacking house surgeon Biswaranjan Sahu at the Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Balangir district on Thursday evening.

The accused identified as Samir Badamali and Raju Sahu were arrested on Friday following agitation by the house surgeons of the medical college. The arrested duo is relatives of a patient under treatment in the medical college hospital. They assaulted the house surgeon alleging medical negligence.

The seriously injured house surgeon is admitted to the ICU of the medical college and hospital.

Following this incident, house surgeons of the medical college started a cease-work agitation demanding the arrest of the accused under the NSA.
