Stock Updates: Sensex climbs 201 points

New Delhi: The stocks are growing well today. The Sensex and the Nifty today witnessed modest gains in the afternoon trade. Both indices rose even as the cues from global share markets were negative.

The Sensex was trading above 59,400 points while the Nifty was trading above the 17,600 level.

The Sensex gained 201 points, or 0.34 percent, to trade at 59,404. The Nifty also added 38 points, or 0.22 percent, to trade at 17,602.
