Honour Killing: UP Man Beheads Sister, Reaches Police with Severed Head

Lucknow: A youth named Riyaz (22) reached a police station in UP’s Barabanki with the severed head of his sister on Friday. He murdered his sister Aashifa (18) for having a relationship with a man, that he did not approve of. Riyaz was arrested.

According to police sources, this murder took place in the Mithwara village in the Fatehpur area in UP’s Barabanki.

Riyaz was on his way to the police station with his sister’s head in hand when the police arrested him.

In the recent past, Aashifa had eloped with her boyfriend Chand Babu. Following a complaint lodged by her family, police traced out Aashifa and arrested Chand Babu.

According to locals, Riyaz was unable to forgive his sister. They often quarrelled over the issue. On Friday, Riyaz used a sharp weapon to behead his sister as she denied to end her relations with Chand Babu.
