Husband’s Illicit Affair Prompted Balangir Woman to Kill Her 6-Month-Old Baby!

Balangir: Meena Nag, the woman arrested in the Balanagir district on charges of murdering her 6-month-old son, has confessed before the investigating police officers that she committed the crime after getting distressed over the extra-marital affair of her husband.

Earlier, her husband had claimed that she was mentally disturbed. The accused made allegations of domestic violence and illicit affairs against her husband. According to her, she slit the throat of her infant son following an assault by her husband.  She claimed that her husband was having illicit relationships with other women.

On Friday, Meena allegedly slit the throat of her 6-month-old son and absconded after the incident.

The incident came to the fore when the deceased child’s grandmother discovered the baby in a pool of blood when she went to give an oil massage to the infant. The baby was to the  Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
