Woman Stripped, Thrashed, Paraded in Madhya Pradesh, 4 Arrested

Indore: A 30-year-old woman was beaten up, stripped and paraded by four other women at Bachhora village in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district during the Holi celebrations. The four accused women were arrested.

On Monday, these four women allegedly dragged the victim out of her house, beat her up and humiliated her by stripping her naked in public at Bachhora village of Gautampura police station area.

One of the accused suspected that the victim was instigating her mother-in-law against her.

The victim as well as the accused women belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. Some villagers shot video of the humiliating act and circulated it on social media. Police are identifying these persons for legal action against them.

The arrested women were booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354-A (sexual harassment) and 452 (wrongfully restraining and assaulting).
