Katrina Kaif’s ‘Tiger 3’ Towel Scene Morphed Using Deepfake After Rashmika Mandanna Incident

Not long after Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video fiasco, another edited image of Katrina Kaif began circulating. The original image was a screen-grab from her upcoming movie “Tiger 3,” where she was performing an action sequence wearing a towel. However, the manipulated image portrayed her in the same pose but with an altered outfit, turning the image into a vulgar one. Fortunately, the fake image was removed from social media after some hours.

This technology, which utilizes machine learning and artificial intelligence to manipulate images and videos, is increasingly being exploited by scammers and cybercriminals. Rashmika’s fake video depicted her entering an elevator, a situation she was never actually in, potentially damaging her reputation.

Deepfake technology is not new but is being increasingly misused. It can morph images and videos in ways that can lead to misinformation and even legal consequences. Such deepfake content raises concerns because it can easily alter the appearance of real individuals, as seen in Katrina Kaif’s case, where her outfit was digitally modified.

Deepfake technology involves advanced artificial intelligence to create realistic but deceptive digital content, making it difficult to distinguish between authentic and manipulated material. The Rashmika Mandanna video, for instance, replaced the face of British-Indian influencer Zara Patel with that of the actor using deepfake technology.
