Pakistan situation gets critical after flood

Islamabad: Thousands of people have died since June. Water is filled everywhere. There’s no dry land left in the country. In 30 years, Pakistan has received the highest rainfall this year. As a result of this, the flood created havoc in the whole country.

Sindh and Baluchistan are the most affected. More than 1100 people lost their lives in the flood. It is estimated that billions of dollars worth of property has been destroyed. Pakistan’s Minister of Meteorology Seri Rehman said some districts are like the whole ocean. More than 3 crore people have been affected by this flood. The Navy is engaged in relief and rescue operations.

Due to the effect of the flood, the Dardam skyscrapers are there. The price of essential commodities has increased so much that it has gone beyond the purchasing power of the people. It threatens to affect Pakistan’s economy as millions of hectares of cotton crops have been destroyed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences to flood-stricken Pakistan. Modi wished peace to the families of the deceased and wished Pakistan to get rid of this disaster soon. On the other hand, it has been reported that high-level talks between India and Pakistan are continuing to provide food aid to Pakistan’s flood victims.
