Series of Quakes Jolt Jaipur: 3 Earthquakes Strike within 20 Minutes

Jaipur: Three earthquakes struck Jaipur in Rajasthan, India, during the early hours of Friday, within a span of half an hour. The latest earthquake, measuring 3.4 magnitude, occurred at approximately 4:25 am IST, with a depth of 10 kilometres, as reported by the National Center for Seismology (NCS) via Twitter.

Before this, at 4:22 am IST, a 3.1 magnitude earthquake was felt in Jaipur at a depth of 5 kilometres. Prior to both, the first quake of 4.4 magnitude hit at 4:09 am IST, with a depth of 10 kilometres. Thankfully, there have been no reports of casualties or damages so far.

Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje, tweeted her concern, acknowledging that the earthquake tremors were also felt in other parts of the state. However, further details on the impact and extent of the quakes are yet to emerge.

The National Center for Seismology (NCS) is actively monitoring the situation, and residents are urged to stay alert and take necessary precautions. As seismic activities can be unpredictable, it’s crucial to prioritize safety and preparedness measures to mitigate potential risks in the future.
