BJP Hits Out At Delhi CM Over Rohingya Illegal Migrants Issue

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday hit out at Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal alleging that the latter is doing appeasement politics over Rohingya illegal migrants.

Briefing media, saffron party’s spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia accused Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party of doing the politics of appeasement keeping national security at bay.

“Rohingya illegal migrants are a threat to the country. It has been a clear policy of the Central Government that there will be no compromise on national security,” Bhatia claimed.

Reportedly, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has clarified that it did not give any directions to provide EWS flats to Rohingya illegal migrants at Bakkarwala in Delhi.

Such clarification from the Ministry comes hours after Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted that Rohingya refugees from Myanmar in Delhi will be allotted apartments and provided with police protection.

In a release, MHA said, “With respect to news reports in certain sections of media regarding Rohingya illegal foreigners, it is clarified that Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has not given any directions to provide EWS flats to Rohingya illegal migrants at Bakkarwala in New Delhi.”
