Railways to Introduce Vande Bharat Trains on Five New Routes, PM Modi to Inaugurate

New Delhi: Indian Railways is all set to launch five new Vande Bharat trains on June 26. The trains will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing.

The five new Vande Bharat trains will run on the following routes:

  • Mumbai-Goa
  • Bangalore-Hubli
  • Patna-Ranchi
  • Bhopal-Indore
  • Bhopal-Jabalpur

The launch of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat train had been postponed due to a tragic rail incident in Odisha. The train was originally scheduled to be launched on May 29, but it was postponed after 288 people were killed in a train collision in Odisha.

The launch of the five new Vande Bharat trains is also a sign of Indian Railways’ commitment to modernization. The railways is investing heavily in new technologies and infrastructure in order to improve the travel experience for passengers.

Notably, this is the first instance where five Vande Bharat trains will commence their operations simultaneously on the same day.

While previous launches were marked by grand celebrations, this event will be relatively understated in light of the recent accident in Odisha.
