Man Arrested for Killing Wife, Chopping Minor Daughter into 10 Pieces in Dadra & Nagar Haveli

Silvassa: In a shocking incident in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, a 52-year-old businessman named Yogesh Mehta was arrested for allegedly killing his wife and daughter.

The man reportedly killed his 43-year-old wife, Reshma, in a fit of rage following an argument. His 15-year-old daughter was also killed when she tried to intervene.

The couple’s 18-year-old daughter, who has learning disabilities, witnessed the crime.

The accused initially reported his wife’s murder to the police but later confessed to the crimes.

The exact date of the murders is unknown, but the daughter’s body parts were found in a canal on June 11.

The accused reportedly used a hammer to kill the victims and a knife to dismember his daughter’s body.

The police have recovered the hammer but are still searching for the knife. The couple had a history of quarrels and had previously sought divorce but reconciled after counselling.
