PM Modi Launches ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ Campaign to Honour Martyrs

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 103rd edition of his Mann Ki Baat show announced the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign to honour the brave men and women martyred for the nation. The campaign includes various programs across the country, with special inscriptions to be installed in numerous village panchayats in their memory.

PM Modi also praised the NDRF personnel for their heroic efforts in rescuing people affected by floods and landslides in different regions. He said that the power of collective efforts was showcased during times of calamity.

In a significant cultural development, America has returned over a hundred ancient artefacts to India. These artefacts include diverse items made of terracotta, stone, metal, and wood, some dating back 2500 to 250 years.

The Prime Minister also commended the women of Uttarakhand for preserving the ancient cultural heritage of ‘Bhojpatra’. These women have been creating beautiful artefacts and souvenirs from Bhojpatra, encouraging tourists to support local products during their visits.

Highlighting India’s strong action against drugs, PM Modi mentioned the seizure and destruction of a substantial 1.5 lakh kg consignment of drugs. India has set a unique record by destroying 10 lakh kg of drugs.
