PM Modi and President Biden’s Crucial Bilateral on Sidelines of G20 Underway

New Delhi: The highly anticipated meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden is currently underway at the Prime Minister’s residence, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit.

In addition to his meeting with President Biden, Prime Minister Modi has also confirmed his discussions with Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and several other prominent world leaders. These meetings aim to foster stronger international relationships and promote global cooperation.

Over the course of the G20 Summit in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to engage in more than 15 bilateral meetings with leaders from around the world. These meetings will occur between September 8 and 10, facilitating important diplomatic discussions on a wide range of topics.

The G20 Leaders’ Summit is a gathering of over 30 heads of state, senior officials from the European Union, invited guest nations, and leaders of 14 international organizations. The summit’s agenda is expected to include critical issues such as climate change, food security, and global economic recovery.

Security preparations for the summit have been intensified in Delhi. A comprehensive security strategy, involving the Delhi Police, paramilitary forces, and various other agencies, is currently in effect. This strategy encompasses measures like the deployment of markswomen and armed personnel at strategic locations, enhanced patrolling, and stringent border checks.

To ensure the utmost safety of foreign delegates, more than 50,000 security personnel, K9 dog squads, and mounted police are actively participating in the security efforts. These measures encompass every aspect, from airport arrivals to hotel stays and the G20 summit venues.
