Avoid Rushing To Ayodhya for Ram Mandir Consecration, Light ‘Shri Ram Jyoti’ At Home: PM Modi

Ayodhya: In a public address in Ayodhya on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to devotees planning to attend the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir on January 22 to avoid overcrowding. Emphasizing the logistical challenges, he stated, “While everyone wishes to be part of this historic event, it’s not feasible for everyone to come on the day. I request all devotees to visit Ayodhya at their convenience after the formal program concludes on January 22.”

Highlighting the significance of patience, PM Modi urged devotees not to inconvenience the deity and to wait for Lord Ram’s arrival. “Having waited for 550 years, I urge you to wait a few more days,” he added.

The Prime Minister made these remarks during a public gathering after inaugurating Ayodhya Dham Railway Station and Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, essential components of the city’s infrastructure redevelopment ahead of the consecration ceremony. The railway station and airport were unveiled as part of the countdown to the much-anticipated event.

PM Modi suggested an alternative way for devotees to participate, urging them to light diyas in their homes on January 22, contributing to a nationwide celebration. Additionally, he called for cleanliness drives at pilgrimage sites and temples across the country from January 14 to January 22.

In a further boost to the state’s development, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple projects exceeding a cumulative value of Rs 15,700 crore. The event marks a significant milestone in Ayodhya’s transformation and the culmination of a long-awaited dream for devotees of Lord Ram.
