Postings of Women Officers of Territorial Army along LoC Approved By Defence Min Rajnath Singh

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the posting of Women Officers of the Territorial Army along the Line of Control.

This forward-thinking policy aims to better the employment opportunities for women officers while also achieving their career goals. They will now be able to serve and train in a larger variety of units and positions under the same conditions as their male counterparts.

Women have been commissioned as officers since 2019 In the Territorial Army’s Ecological Task Force Units, TA Oil Sector Units, and TA Railway Engineer Regiment. It has been determined to expand the range of potential future jobs for female officers in TA in light of the experience obtained during this time.

Officers in the Territorial Army, which is built on the idea of a Citizen Soldiers’ Army, get annual training in fundamental military abilities while continuing to work in the civilian sector.
