7-Month-Old Baby Mauled to Death by Stray Dogs in Bhopal

Bhopal: A seven-month-old boy of a family of labourers was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal. A video of the incident went viral on social media.

When local police came to know about the incident that happened on Wednesday, the baby’s body, which was buried by the family was exhumed and sent for post-mortem.

The mother had placed the baby boy on the ground and was working nearby when a pack of stray dogs dragged him away. The dogs severed an arm of the infant, killing him on the spot.

The child’s family, hailing from Guna, buried his body in a village close to Bhopal.

Meanwhile, the Bhopal district administration has provided financial help of Rs 50,000 to the boy’s family. Another Rs 50,000 would be provided to the family later.

Following this incident, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) caught eight stray dogs from the Ayodhya Nagar area, where this gruesome incident happened.
