Cops Thwart Suicide Bid by Auto Driver Outside Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s House

Thane: A 42-year-old autorickshaw driver made a desperate attempt to end his life in front of the residence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Thane, Maharashtra. However, swift action by vigilant police personnel thwarted his self-immolation bid.

The driver, identified as Vinay Pandey, doused himself with kerosene but was promptly subdued and prevented from setting himself ablaze.

Cops revealed that Pandey’s frustration stemmed from the delayed issuance of his license due to a pending case against him. Currently, the police are actively engaging with Pandey as part of their ongoing investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, a video of the driver passionately expressing his grievances has gone viral on social media.

It is worth noting that the chief minister was not present at the location when the incident occurred.
