BJP Leading by 6,755 Votes After 13 Rounds of Counting in Dhamnagar Bypoll

Dhamnagar: As of 02:50 PM, 13 rounds of vote counting has completed.  BJP’s Suryavanshi Suraj continues to lead the Dhamnagar assembly seat by 6,755 votes, claiming a total of 58,332 votes. The BJD’s Abanti Das follows suit securing 51,577 votes at the end of 13 rounds of counting.

Whereas former BJD rebel Rajendra Das has secured 6,892 votes so far the Congress party’s Harekrushna Sethi has bagged a meek 2,602 votes.

Vote counting for the byelection to the Dhamnagar assembly constituency is underway right now. The counting will be undertaken in as many as 18 rounds on 14 benches.

A heavy tussle was seen between the candidates for the by-elections. This increased the anticipation among the candidates as well as the general public as a clear-cut winner is hard to be thought of.
