Congress Launches ‘Mera Ghar Aapka Ghar’ Campaign After RaGa Asked to Vacate Official Residence

New Delhi: Congress party on Tuesday launched the ‘Mera Ghar Aapka Ghar’ campaign. This came a day after Rahul Gandhi was asked to vacate his official residence in New Delhi.

The Congress party posted an image of Rahul Gandhi, along with the text ‘Mera Ghar Aapka Ghar’ to declare the launch of this campaign.

Several Congress leaders have tweeted about this campaign. Vibhakar Shastri, grandson of India’s former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri said, “Rahul ji Mera Ghar Aapka ghar.”

Several Congress members have also put up stickers saying “Mera Ghar Rahul Gandhiji Ka Ghar” in front of their houses.

On Monday, Rahul Gandhi was served a notice to vacate his government bungalow by April 22. This notice came following his disqualification as a member of Lok Sabha after his conviction in a defamation case last week. Responding to the notice, Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said he will abide by the eviction notice.

“For him, every house has opened its doors. Because Rahul Gandhi has pledged to start a shop of love in the market of hatred. My leader, my inspiration, my brother Rahul ji — ‘Mera Ghar Aapka Ghar’,” Congress leader Ashok Singh took to Twitter to say. NSUI National Secretary Roshan Lal Bittu took to Twitter and said, “I welcome you to my home. We are family, it is your home too.”
