Khallikote Junior College Rusticates 7 Students for Ragging

Berhampur: The principal of Khallikote Junior College of Berhampur rusticated seven +2 students involved in ragging on the campus. On November 19, A girl student of the college had given a written complaint to the principal on November 19 in which she described the ragging she was facing at the hands of some senior.

Following the complaint, the college authorities directed the ant-ragging committee of the institution to take up a detailed inquiry. Nine students had been suspended from the campus.

The anti-ragging committee in its report had found seven students guilty of ragging. These students were rusticated from the institution. As per the order, if these students are seen on the Khallikote Junior College campus, then police action can be initiated against them.

Before this, an incident of ragging of girl students by seniors at Binayak Acharya College of Berhampur had also come to the fore through a viral video. Twelve accused students of Binayak Acharya College were rusticated for their involvement in ragging.
