Vizag MP’s Wife, Son & Auditor Kidnapped for Ransom, Rescued by Police Within Few Hours

Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress Party MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana’s wife, son, and auditor were kidnapped for ransom from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Satyanarayana represents the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat.

Andhra police managed to rescue the abducted trio within hours.

At first, the MP’s wife, Jyothi, and their son Sharad were kidnapped by the gang. The miscreants demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore for their release.

Later the MP’s auditor G. Venkateshwar Rao was abducted on Thursday when he went to a place to hand over the ransom money.

Vizag police received information about these abductions at around 8 am on Thursday. And by 12.30 pm the kidnapped persons were rescued.

Police tracked the gang of kidnappers by tracking their mobile phones. The arrested kidnappers included noted a criminal of Vizag, Hemanth Kumar, and another person.

The MP’s family members and aide were rescued from the Eluru-Amalapuram road. The kidnappers were nabbed after a chase. A police vehicle was damaged during the operation.

The MP was in Hyderabad during the time of this abduction.
