1 Dead, 7 Hurt As Truck Rams Into Shop In Cuttack

Cuttack: One person was killed while seven others sustained grievous injuries after a truck ran over two cars, and five motorcycles at Jagatpur in Cuttack district today evening.

The incident took place this evening when a truck ran over two cars, and five motorcycles before ramming into a fruit shop near Khaira bridge at Jagatpur.

The deceased has been identified as the fruit shop owner Subash Sahu. He succumbed to his injuries while on the way to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack.

Meanwhile, tension prevailed in the area following the incident. Police have rushed to the spot to maintain law and order.

The injured have been shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack. All are kept under observation.
