Another Low Pressure In BoB To Trigger Heavy Rainfall In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that another low-pressure area is likely to form over the North-west Bay of Bengal around August 19.

According to the MeT department, under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood, a low-pressure area is likely to be formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha-­West Bengal coasts.

IMD predicted that the low-pressure area will bring widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall and extremely heavy rainfall in several districts of the state. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Odisha on the 19th of August, it added.
