CRPF Personnel Shoots Self Using Service Rifle in Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Sub-Inspector reportedly died by suicide using his service rifle in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the Khadupani area, falling under the jurisdiction of Boden police station. The deceased has been identified as D. Gunnasekaran, a native of Tamil Nadu, who was serving as a Sub-Inspector with the 19th Battalion of CRPF.

The tragic incident took place at the Khadupani camp while he was on duty. The motive behind this unfortunate event remains unclear, and an ongoing investigation is underway to determine the underlying reasons.

A team of police officials immediately arrived at the scene in response to the incident.
