Human skeleton recovered from Puri beach, murder suspected

Puri: Residents were left in a state of panic in Gadabangar area here on Thursday after a human skeleton was found lying on the sea beach.

Some local residents who had been to a forested area located a stone throw away from Liakhia bridge spotted the skeletal remain and intimated Chandrabhaga Marine Police, post which the incident came to light.

Chandrabhaga Marine Police swung into action immediately and carried out the preliminary investigation by reaching the spot.

While it is being claimed to be a case of murder, the same couldn’t be substantiated yet.

It is quite possible that the victim might have been swept away into the sea, suspect police.
