Masks Made Mandatory In Hospitals In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government resolved on Monday to mandate the use of masks in all state-run healthcare facilities in response to the mounting COVID-19 cases in both the nation and Odisha.

In accordance with a recent order from the Public Health Directorate, masks are now mandatory for all healthcare professionals while on the job, all officials and attendees at meetings, during crowds of people, especially in close quarters, and for individuals providing clinical, laboratory, and other support services in a hospital setting.

Additionally, individuals with influenza-like illnesses and visitors to regions where there is a high risk of transmission are required to wear masks.

On Sunday, the daily Covid-19 tally in Odisha exceeded 500.

It is important to note that, like other states in the nation, Covid-19 cases are on the rise in Odisha. The authorities had previously disclosed more than 400 Covid-19 cases over the course of two days.
