Newborn Girl Found Abandoned in Bolangir Hospital Restroom

Bolangir: A newborn girl was found abandoned in the restroom of Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Bolangir district on Saturday morning.

Patients in the female medicine ward toilet found the infant. She was underweight and crying. Hospital staff rushed to the scene and rescued the baby.

The police were notified and the infant was admitted to the hospital’s special newborn care unit.

It is suspected that the mother abandoned the newborn shortly after giving birth at the hospital. The authorities are investigating the matter.
