Naveen Patnaik Calls on BJD Youth Leaders to Embrace Social Media for Effective Communication

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik urged the youth wing leaders of his party to actively utilize social media platforms to disseminate information about the government’s pro-people initiatives. Addressing the state executive committee meeting of Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD), Patnaik emphasized the power of social media in today’s world and encouraged the youth leaders to effectively communicate the achievements of the government and the party.

The Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s transformative journey, which has gained national and international recognition for its initiatives. He called upon all party members to confidently reach out to the people, emphasizing the party’s commitment to being present for the people in all situations. Patnaik stressed the importance of maintaining a human-centric approach and engaging with the people to focus on development and welfare efforts.

Patnaik acknowledged the significant role played by youth in shaping the destinies of communities, countries, and states. He emphasized that Biju Janata Dal, inspired by the principles of Biju Babu, should follow in his footsteps. The Chief Minister reminded the youth leaders of the remarkable progress made by Odisha since the party took charge in 2000, particularly in areas such as food security, disaster management, finance management, poverty alleviation, women empowerment, sports, IT, urban development, infrastructure, tourism, and industry.

While acknowledging the current level of development, Patnaik stressed the need for the youth to contribute further to make Odisha a developed state. He expressed his trust in the youth leaders, urging them to prioritize the state’s development in all their actions.

Political analysts suggest that Patnaik’s instruction to his youth leaders aims to counter the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has been highly active on social media platforms.
