Odisha CM Lays Foundation for JSW’s Steel Plant in Paradip; Promises 30,000 Jobs

Paradip: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday laid foundation stone for several significant industrial projects in Paradip.

JSW Utkal Steel Limited will invest approximately Rs 65,000 crore in constructing a 13.2 MTPA steel plant at Dhinkia, creating job opportunities for about 30,000 individuals.

Additionally, the CM laid the foundation stone for a 1.20 MTPA green ammonia plant by ReNew E-Fuels Private Ltd., with an investment of Rs 22,000 crore, and a 25,000 MTPA modern chemicals factory by Silox India Private Limited, investing Rs 500 crore. These ventures are expected to offer employment to around 5,000 people.

CM Patnaik reflected on the visionary contribution of late Biju Patnaik in establishing Paradip Port in the 1960s, marking a significant milestone in Odisha’s development. He praised Paradip as a prominent investment hub in eastern India.

Expressing gratitude to the industrialists for their investments, Patnaik emphasized that these projects would collectively provide job opportunities for approximately 35,000 individuals.
