Earlier this week, South Africa received a major blow when Dwaine Pretorius was declared unfit for the upcoming T20 world cup.
22-year-old Marco Jansen, who was a member of the reserves, takes Dwaine Pretorius’ slot in the squad.
Pretorius suffered a thumb fracture while playing in the penultimate T20I match against India in Indore.
Earlier, Jansen was also named as his replacement in the SA ODI squad for the India series.
The inclusion of the left-arm seamer may prove to be an exciting addition to the squad.
Meanwhile, Lizzad Williams has been added as a reserve player in the squad along with the likes of Adile Phehlukwayo and Bjorn Fortuin.
