Google Rolls Out Android 14 QPR1 Beta for Pixel Phones

Google has released the first Quarterly Platform Release (QPR1) beta of Android 14 for Pixel phones. The beta is available to users who have enrolled in the Android Beta Program and includes bug fixes, stability improvements, and performance enhancements.

One of the key highlights of the Android 14 QPR1 beta is the addition of more battery information in Settings. Users can now access a “Battery Information” section in Settings > About Phone, providing insights into the battery’s manufacturing date and charge cycle count.

Google typically follows a pattern of major OS updates followed by QPR1, QPR2, and QPR3 updates. Following this trend, we can anticipate Android 14’s first Quarterly Platform Release to officially launch in December 2023 as part of the Pixel Feature Drop.
