Isolated Rain Possible in These Odisha Districts on March 25 & 26: Check Forecast

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar has issued its latest forecast for Odisha, indicating the likelihood of light rain or thundershowers in select districts over March 25 and 26.

According to the mid-day bulletin, maximum temperatures have seen a notable rise in specific areas of North Interior Odisha and many places in North Odisha. Meanwhile, there’s been a slight increase in temperatures in a few spots along the South Coastal and South Interior Odisha districts. However, temperatures remain largely unchanged elsewhere across the state. Some areas in Interior Odisha have experienced temperatures appreciably below normal, while a few others in the state have observed temperatures below the usual range.

Looking ahead, the IMD predicts a further increase in maximum temperatures by 3°C to 5°C over the next three days in many parts of Odisha, followed by stable conditions thereafter. Minimum temperatures are also expected to rise by 2°C to 3°C over the next five days in numerous areas across the state.

Balangir recorded the highest maximum temperature at 38.0°C, while Sundargarh noted the lowest minimum temperature at 16.6°C in the plains of Odisha.

For the upcoming days, the weather outlook for Odisha districts is as follows:

– Sunday (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 25.03.2024): Dry weather expected throughout Odisha.

– Monday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 26.03.2024): Light rain or thundershowers forecasted in specific areas including Bargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore. Dry weather is expected in the remaining districts.
