Father Electrocuted, Son Serious After 11 KV Cable Snapped in Ganjam Dist

Berhampur: A man was electrocuted to death while his son was seriously injured when they came in contact with a snapped high-voltage cable at Adapada village under the Hinjli police station limits in Ganjam district of Odisha on Monday morning.

The deceased was as Kora Behera of Adapada village. He and his son Tofan Behera were working in their agricultural field when an 11 KV wire snapped off and fell on Kora. In his attempt to save his father, Tofan was seriously injured.

The locals rushed the father and the son to the Adapada Primary Health Centre where Kora was declared dead. The injured youth was transported to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for treatment.
