Industrialist and Former Congress MP Naveen Jindal Quits Party, Joins BJP

New Delhi: Industrialist and former Congress MP Naveen Jindal on Sunday resigned from the party and joined the BJP just days ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Jindal, who serves as the Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power, expressed gratitude towards the Congress leadership and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in a farewell note shared across social media platforms.

“For a decade, I had the honour of representing the Congress Party in Parliament as the MP from Kurukshetra. I extend my sincere appreciation to the Congress leadership and the esteemed Dr. Manmohan Singh,” Jindal stated in his post on X, while also tagging Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge.

Just hours after announcing his resignation from the Congress party, Naveen Jindal formally joined the BJP in a ceremony held in New Delhi. Reflecting on this significant transition, Jindal remarked, “Today marks a pivotal moment in my life. I am filled with pride as I take this step to join the BJP and pledge to serve our nation under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. My aim is to actively contribute to realizing PM Modi’s vision of a developed India.”
