Two Security Personnel Injured as IED Planted by Maoists Explodes in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Two personnel of the Special Task Force were injured on Wednesday when a pressure activated IED planted by Maoists exploded in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.

The blast occurred between 5 am and 6 am at a forest near the Itwar village under Gangaloor police station limits. The injured personnel were part of a team of security personnel involved in anti-Maoist operation in the area.

The STF personnel injured in the blast were Shivlal Mandavi and Mithlesh Markam. They came in contact with the pressure IED, triggering the blast that left them injured. They were admitted to a local hospital and they were reported to be out of danger.
