In the greed of ‘hidden money’, thieves dug a 3-feet deep pit by removing the Shivling

Maharashtra: A three-foot pit was secretly dug by removing the Shivling located in an ancient temple of Mahadev in Nanded, Maharashtra. Police have arrested three accused in this case. The matter is of Kushnur area of ​​Naigaon tehsil. IPS officer Archit Chandak had received information that some unknown people had secretly carried out this incident by removing the Shivling of the temple.

The IPS officer formed a team and started the investigation of the case. They checked the CCTV footage around the area and soon located the accused and arrested them. The arrested accused have been identified as Ashok Maisonwad, Vishnu Dukare, and Balaji Irpe.

People who informed the police said that when they were passing near the temple on Sunday, they heard some vandalism from inside. As soon as they entered the temple, three thieves fled from the spot on seeing them. People immediately informed the police about this. After which the police arrested all three accused.

Local people told that this temple is 150 years old. According to some experts, a lot of wealth is hidden in this temple. Because of this, thieves must have done this excavation. At present, a case has been registered against the accused and they are being interrogated. It is being ascertained whether anyone else with him was involved in this incident or not.

Earlier, the case of theft of old God idols from the temple of Jalna had come to the fore. The idols of Shri Ram worshiped by Sant Samarth Ramdas Swami were stolen in the Jambasamarth temple here. Thieves stole two idols of Shri Ram, Sita Mata, Lakshmana along with Hanuman. Also stole the Panchadhatu idols of Shri Ram, Sita Mata, Lakshman, and Hanuman. This temple was built in the year 1535.
